The Berea College Farm Store

The Farm Store is open Tuesdays through Fridays and provides a daily lunch menu prepared by students using fresh ingredients from the Berea College Farm. You can purchase local and seasonal organic ingredients for your culinary endeavors from the Store. We offer fresh or frozen meat and fresh eggs, local mushrooms, and seasonal produce as well as select staples. The bakery case is stocked daily with fresh bread and pastries made from scratch with our eggs, herbs, fruits and vegetables. We also add value to our meat products with an in-house butchery. We offer locally made Kombucha, cheeses, and snacks.

Aside from a small full-time staff, the Farm Store operates entirely on student labor. The Farm Store student employees are a diverse group of individuals united in their desire to learn more about farm-to-table food preparation and collaboration of business models.

Your purchases at the Farm Store support sustainable agriculture education for students with strong academic potential and financial need.

The Berea College Farm Store has a lot of products that come from the local area and has a service that creates a friendly and wholesome atmosphere. They have a range of products such as organic yogurt that is made without any artificial preservatives, fresh fruit and an assortment of cheese. I enjoyed the service as the staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend the Berea College Farm Store to anyone, whether a foodie or passerby.

Food grown and raised just down the street. In the old broomcraft building (in front of Seabury Center), very nicely renovated. Students appear to be involved in every facet. Watch through the window as lads and lasses in lab coats make sausage! Besides its own meats, veggies, grains, legumes, honey, and baked goods, offerings are rounded out by some regionally produced cheese, pasta, misc sauces and condiments, as well as soaps and other products for the epidermis. And seeds! Awesome idea, well executed. Way to go, BC.

I have always been a fan of Berea College and this food store is a wonderful addition. I picked up some delicious looking bread and some seeds to plant in my spring garden. Coming or going down the interstate I always make time to stop and see what is new happening at the college
